Job summary
A leading e-commerce company seeks a dynamic Area Manager in Betim, Brazil to oversee Outbound operations in their distribution center. This role involves managing multiple shifts, ensuring operational excellence through performance metrics, and leading a team. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree or relevant experience with truckloads of up to 100 pounds and should be fluent in English. Flexibility to work nights and weekends is necessary. Education
We are looking for a dynamic, results-oriented Area Manager to lead Outbound operations (collection, packaging, and shipping) in our distribution center.
This role directly manages associates and requires a balance between strategic thinking, operational execution, and people leadership.
This position will operate in a distribution center environment with exposure to varying temperatures depending on the season and location.
Must be available to accommodate flexible layover needs, including night shifts and weekend rotations.
- Lead, develop, and manage a team of associates across multiple shifts
- Drive operational excellence through the management of KPIs, including productivity, quality, and safety metrics
- Implement and maintain standardized work processes to ensure consistent performance
- Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate business updates to the team
- Manage workforce planning and staffing to meet business demands
- Lead problem solving initiatives using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and workplace standards
- Train and develop first-level associates and supervisors
- Collaborate with support teams (HR, Safety, Training) to drive continuous improvement
- Manage performance through data analysis and actionable insights
- Labor monitoring and management
- Monitor Idle Time (TOT)
- Track productivity rates
- Manage break times
- Address frequency / attendance issues
- Monitoring of adherence to processes

- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
