Job Description

Position Summary

To help develop and implement a system to manage the consolidated inventory of pressure control equipment for both Parker’s International Rentals and Drilling’s Business units.

Essential Functions

  1. Management of combined BOP fleet; set the strategy and develop processes and systems to achieve so.
  2. Develop metrics to track BOP utilization and set and achieve yearly targets.
  3. Maintain professional presence with external organizations relevant to Pressure Control Equipment.
  4. Consolidate all manufacturing and service records across the different ERPs used in the organization.
  5. Develop and maintain an updated list of certification requirements divided both by geographical location and customer base.
  6. Develop and maintain a comprehensive plan for maintenance and record keeping which can be transferable across different business units.
  7. Help select and develop a service agreement between business units for fleet management purposes.
  8. Liaise constantly with all the business units and take ownership to provide pressure control equipment as per the service agreement.

Additional Functions

  1. Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of pressure control equipment.
  2. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  3. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for pressure control systems.
  4. Train and mentor junior technicians on pressure control procedures.
  5. Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to optimize performance.
  6. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting on pressure control activities.
  7. Respond to emergency situations and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

Necessary Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

  1. Knowledge of BOP functions, controls, operations, and maintenance.
  2. Project management: ability to scope, schedule, and deliver multiple projects regarding improvement of BOP reliability.
  3. Ability to analyze, identify problems, and recommend solutions (Root Cause Failure Analyses). Familiar with API standards (API-16A, API-6AR, API-6A, API-16D, API S53, API RP 53, API RP 59) and BSEE requirements related to BOP equipment.
  4. Knowledge of different regulatory requirements across the world both from country and from clients' perspective (i.e., DNV-RP-E101).
  5. Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication.
  6. Ability to communicate with senior leaders.
  7. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  8. Ability to work independently with multiple vendors, senior leaders, and assets.
  9. Ability to apply Lean methodologies to position.
  10. Moderate Rig Contractor or BOP OEM experience is advantageous.
  11. Substantial onshore experience preferred.
  12. Knowledge of barrier management.
  13. Working knowledge of process safety relating to reliability, operations, and maintenance.
  14. Experience of work with ERP systems TRACS, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar.
  15. Knowledge of documentation packages for pressure control equipment.
  16. Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.

Education / Qualification

  1. University Degree.
  2. Good working knowledge of engineering principles for pressure control.

  1. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  2. Ability to work under high-pressure conditions.
  3. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  5. Familiarity with industry software and diagnostic tools.

  11. Ability to comprehend, remember, and follow directions and comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.

  2. Use of repetitive wrist and hand movements at a computer.
  3. Sit/stand while performing sedentary work.
