Senior I&C Design Engineer – Water Treatment
Job summary
A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Design Engineer (Instrumentation & Control) in Abu Dhabi. This role involves leading the design of control systems for water treatment projects, with responsibilities including preparing engineering documentation and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering fields and 7-10 years of experience in I&C design, particularly within water treatment or industrial automation sectors. Strong knowledge of PLC/HMI/SCADA systems is required.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience in I&C design, preferably in water treatment, oil & gas, or industrial automation.
- Hands-on experience in instrumentation and control design engineering is a must.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols like Modbus and Profibus is essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of I&C systems for water treatment plants.
- Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including Instrument Index and Control Philosophy.
- Define control system architecture involving PLCs and SCADA systems.
- Develop functional design specifications for automation systems.
- Select, specify, and validate field instruments based on process requirements.
