Deliveroo HOP launched in September 2021 and is Deliveroo’s speedy grocery delivery service. Our mission is to deliver groceries to customers around the world in as little as 10 minutes - from the weekly shop to a last-minute dinner party or a late-night snack. Working with trusted grocers, Deliveroo Hop promises to bring customers the very best products at lightning speed.

The team behind Deliveroo HOP are building a network of stores across London, the UK and International markets. Each delivery store is staffed with a team who have been specially trained to manage the operations efficiently as well as pick and pack orders in record time, with Deliveroo’s 100,000-strong rider network completing all deliveries.

The Role

The role of the Site Associate is to support the Site Management team in achieving the highest performance possible within their respective site. This includes maximising customer satisfaction, striving to work efficiently, ensuring accuracy in stock counting, handling stock with care and according to rotation policies to reduce wastage.

The Site Associate must also contribute to a positive and cooperative working environment that is pleasant for all colleagues and ensure at all times that the tasks they are carrying out are in line with all H&S policies.

What You’ll be Doing

1. Pick orders efficiently to meet time targets. This includes monitoring and responding to incoming customer orders to reduce order queue time.
2. Pick orders ensuring 100% accuracy, maintaining product quality.
3. Adhere to packaging SLAs when preparing customer orders.
4. Efficiently replenish stock, ensuring accurate inventory, strong merchandising standards and compliant stock rotation.
5. Unload deliveries in line with company procedures.
6. Support with inventory management as requested.
7. Ensure site remains clean and tidy at all times dealing with any hazards urgently.
8. Comply with company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
9. Deliver strong standards within your site, adhering to merchandising and space management principles in addition to delivering a clean, tidy, organised site environment.
10. Maintain good relations to uphold Deliveroo’s positive reputation with all external parties. E.g. Neighbours, landlords, and contractors.
11. Communicate professionally and effectively with our Deliveroo riders.
12. Effectively operate and oversee the dispatch order ensuring the accurate handling of orders to riders and minimising mistakes.
13. Ensure appropriate timekeeping, always arriving on time for shift, taking breaks as per policy and adhering to working time directive requirements.

Requirements

1. Previous experience in a similar environment is valued but not required (FMCG/Retail/Warehouse/Last mile delivery is a big plus).
2. Hands-on mentality.
3. Detail oriented.
4. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
5. Good communication skills and a good proficiency in both written and spoken English.
6. Right to work in the UAE.
