Work Arrangement:
This role is categorized as on-site. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the regional parts distribution centre full time.
Your Role: Quality Supervisor
What You'll Do:
- Lead the QA team of 6 office and floor contract staff, including hiring, training, guidance, performance evaluation, individual development, and ensuring alignment with MEDC strategic priorities.
- Set and exceed targets for the Quality team, focusing on high BIQ scores for GMS compliance.
- Liaise with parts suppliers, regional, and global technical teams; raise and follow up on quality concerns with external partners.
- Implement robust quality processes to ensure quality is built into every operational activity.
- Maintain strong dealer communication through visits and ensure agile responsiveness to claims.
- Monitor, track, and analyze errors, providing detailed reports to operations.
- Supervise salaried staff for quality inspection of materials.
- Ensure timely processing of dealer claims with thorough investigations.
- Coordinate with the finance department for claim payments and supplier deliveries.
- Collaborate with Operations to identify and eliminate root causes of errors using problem-solving techniques.
- Handle administrative tasks for the Operations department.
- Ensure effective implementation of the Global Manufacturing System (GMS) by partnering with the Warehouse leadership team.
- Work with Operations, Finance, and Area Aftersales Team on dealer inquiries.
- Automate and review team priorities to reduce waste in the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Quality Local
- Oversee processes to ensure parts quality issues are checked during inbound to prevent bad stock.
- Ensure all claims are processed with full investigations and develop strategies to meet global quality targets.
- Inspect outbound shipments based on claim patterns.
- Ensure QA procedures are followed by all team members.
- Optimize and track inspection spend through smart processes.
- Supervise floor activities, audit processes, and ensure proper storage and documentation.
- Monitor employee error rates and assist in corrective actions.
- Lead 5S workplace organization.
- Document and dispose of QA scraps as per agreed processes.
- Create Financial Support Requests (FSRs) for dealer payoffs.
- Support field staff on quality concerns.
- Coordinate all dealer communication related to Quality.
- Complete calls/visits for key dealers/suppliers.
Warehouse Quality Regional (5%)
- Collaborate with regional SMEs on global quality initiatives and process alignment in claims.
Warehouse Quality Global (5%)
- Work with the global quality team to report and resolve problems.
- Create processes to improve quality and service to dealers.
- Raise Quality Control Forms (QCFs), Problem Reporting and Resolving (PRR), and Requests for Inspection (RFI) to suppliers.
Your Skills & Abilities:
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in quality assurance, warehouse operations, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline is required.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (such as Quality Management, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering) is preferred.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building with internal and external partners.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in quality assurance processes and compliance.
- Ability to implement and monitor robust operational processes.
- Financial coordination and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in process automation and waste reduction.
- Knowledge of GMS and warehouse operations.
