Job summary
An engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Engineer to join their project site team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and have 12-15 years of HVAC engineering experience in EPC projects. Responsibilities include reviewing specifications, ensuring compliance with standards, and coordinating with various engineering disciplines. We are seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Engineer to join our project site team on an urgent basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC design and execution, particularly within EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project environments.
- Review and develop HVAC specifications, calculations, and layout drawings as per project requirements.
- Conduct vendor document reviews, ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to close Inter-Discipline Check (IDC) points.
- Ensure that HVAC engineering deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Provide technical support to procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
- Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 12-15 years of relevant experience in HVAC engineering in EPC projects.
- Proven experience in preparing HVAC design documents, including heat load calculations, equipment selection, duct sizing and layout, piping and insulation, control system design.
- Experience with vendor document review and alignment with project specifications.
- Strong inter-discipline coordination and ability to resolve design conflicts efficiently.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.).
- Proficiency in HVAC software tools and AutoCAD.
