Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Purchaser with a strong background in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, tools, and equipment required for ongoing construction projects, ensuring timely delivery and cost-efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Source construction materials such as concrete, steel, plumbing items, electrical supplies, tools, and safety equipment.

Negotiate with local and international suppliers to obtain competitive prices and terms.

Issue and track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and invoices.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to determine material requirements.

Maintain updated records of purchases, inventory levels, supplier information, and delivery timelines.

Monitor market trends and pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement strategies.

Ensure all purchased materials meet quality and safety standards.

Handle urgent procurement requirements to avoid project delays.

Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.

Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and UAE regulations.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in the construction sector.

Strong knowledge of construction materials and suppliers in the UAE market.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software (ERP/Zoho is a plus).

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement requests.

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Procurement, or related field.
