Job summary
A recruitment agency in Fujairah is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to develop HSE policies and conduct training. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5-7 years of relevant experience, particularly in construction and infrastructure projects in the UAE. Overview
Location: Fujairah, United Arab Emirates
Salary: 6000-7000 AED per month
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the UAE and with construction, road and infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE software
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent certification is preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with local and international regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate incidents and accidents, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for prevention
- Conduct training and awareness sessions on HSE topics for employees and contractors
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs and make necessary improvements
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to health, safety, and environment
- Maintain and update HSE records and documentation
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to test their effectiveness
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HSE and make recommendations for their implementation
