Job summary
A leading oil and gas company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Engineer for electrical assets maintenance. The role requires at least 10 years of experience, with expertise in high voltage systems, predictive maintenance, and industry standards. Responsibilities include maintaining critical electrical infrastructure and ensuring seamless integration of new facilities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering and maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Experience in oil & gas industry preferred.
- Expertise in High Voltage installations and protection systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain various electrical assets including switchgear, transformers, and UPS.
- Conduct life assessment tests and obsolescence studies.
- Plan and coordinate with multi-disciplines for modifications.
Skills
To maintain various electrical assets such as High voltage switchgear, transformers, Large synchronous machines, HV motor, Protection system, UPS system and variable speed systems including preventive and breakdown maintenance. Ensure reliability of these assets by carrying out life assessment tests, obsolescence studies and upgrade. Ensure smooth integration of new facilities such as modification/up gradation of existing facilities.
Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering and maintenance of Electrical equipment within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry as Senior engineer or higher position in all of the following domains
- Good knowledge about monitoring and predictive maintenance programs associated with electrical systems
- Good Knowledge on Electrical system studies – Short-circuit study, Load flow study, Protection co-ordination study and sizing calculations
- Knowledge about specification of switchgears, Transformers, variable frequency drives, Ex-equipment’s, UPS and Electrical control systems.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards applicable to the oil & gas industries (API, ANSI, NEMA, NFPA, NEC/IEC, etc.) required
- Expertise in resolving complex Engineering and maintenance issues such as HV installations and Protection, Electrical automation and power control systems, electrical variable speed drives, UPS etc.
- Good knowledge about electrical safety requirements and HSE procedures & practices
Planning and Organising, Scheduling and Co-ordinating with multi disciplines
