Role Overview :
We are looking for an experienced HVAC Technician (Grade-A) to join our Facilities Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex HVAC systems—including water-cooled centrifugal chillers —to help maintain a safe, comfortable, and efficient school environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Operation & Maintenance :
- Operate and maintain water-cooled centrifugal chillers from leading brands such as York, Trane, McQuay, Daikin, and Carrier.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems, including :
- Chilled water pumps
- Fresh air and recirculating air handling units (AHUs)
- Fan coil units (FCUs)
- Ventilation fans
- Operate and monitor chiller plant manager systems and the Building Management System (BMS).
- Ensure reliable functioning of cooling towers, RO plants, and other plant equipment.
- Conduct troubleshooting and repair work to minimize downtime.
Campus Support & Coordination :
- Support daily operations during school hours and special events.
- Coordinate with the school operations team to ensure smooth facilities support during school activities.
- Complete all other duties assigned by the reporting manager, in line with the school's operational needs.
Requirements :
- Diploma / ITI (2-year program) in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in the UAE or GCC, with minimum 4 years in the operation and maintenance of water-cooled centrifugal chillers and cooling towers.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals, service documentation, and understanding HVAC schematics.
- Familiarity with BMS systems and chiller plant manager software.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
- Good communication skills in English.
