Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and motivated General Practitioner (GP) to join our Medical Education Department as a Clinical Skills Instructor. The successful candidate will play a key role in teaching and supporting undergraduate medical students in the development of clinical and communication skills. This includes active involvement in practical skills training, simulation-based education, and other teaching activities, as well as supporting the day-to-day operations of the Simulation Center.

Key Responsibilities:
Teach and facilitate clinical and communication skills sessions for medical students.
Guide students through communication scenarios and fostering professionalism throughout clinical training.
Deliver clinical skills education across all levels of undergraduate training, from basic foundational skills to complex clinical reasoning and procedural skills.
Teach clinical reasoning, differential diagnosis, and patient-centered care approaches
Assist in the development and delivery of simulation-based training, including procedural skills, OSCEs, and scenario-based learning.
Support curriculum development in collaboration with the medical education team.
Supervise and assess students in practical skills laboratories and during formative and summative assessments.
Assist with scheduling, preparation, setup, and maintenance of simulation equipment and teaching materials.
Collaborate with faculty, clinical departments, and administrative teams to ensure quality teaching delivery.
Participate in faculty development and training programs to stay current with educational best practices.
Provide mentorship and academic support to students where appropriate.
Minimum Qualification
Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
Licensed General Practitioner (GP).
A minimum of 5 years clinical experience (less may be considered for UAE Nationals).
Demonstrated interest or experience in teaching or medical education.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualification
Masters Degree in health-related subject or medical education
Expected Skills
Previous teaching experience in an academic or clinical setting.
Experience with simulation-based education and/or OSCEs.
Certificate or diploma in medical education or health professions education is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary academic team.
Familiarity with curriculum development and student assessment processes.
Basic technical knowledge related to simulation equipment setup and troubleshooting.
Skilled in providing developmental feedback appropriate to the learner's stage, fostering continuous improvement in both technical and non-technical skills.
