This position requires relocation to Abu Dhabi and is available to New Graduate Nurses trained in the United States. Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s New Graduate Nurse Residency is a 12‑month program designed for new graduate nurses with less than six months of nursing practice experience. The program prepares them for successful growth into professional nursing practice. The innovative structure of the program allows for a smooth transition to the clinical setting through a robust general orientation program which includes 16 weeks of a 1:1 preceptorship opportunity, voluntary and informal mentorship, simulation experiences, and professional development courses and sessions.
December 2024 and May 2025 new graduates with a BSN from an accredited school of nursing program and who have less than six months of professional nursing experience in a hospital setting.
The New Graduate Nurse Residency Program offers the opportunity for the nurse resident to specialize in their area of interest, including medical/surgical, heart‑vascular and thoracic, neurology, or oncology specialties through a specialized competency and simulation‑based program. During the 12‑month program, graduate nurses will gain the knowledge and skills required to independently care for patients safely and confidently. A supportive team of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi preceptors, nurse educators and leadership will guide graduates through an individualized learning plan and continued follow‑up on identified learning needs. New graduate nurses will also benefit from continuing education through monthly Nurse Residency sessions offered by the Nursing Education department on topics ranging from clinical to leadership skills, including analyzing and interpreting ECGs, recognizing and managing deteriorating patients, wellbeing and resilience.
