Job Description
The Housekeeping Attendant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms, public areas, and other assigned spaces. The ideal candidate will ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests while adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety. Specific responsibilities include:
- Clean and tidy guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and mopping floors.
- Replenish guest room amenities, such as toiletries, towels, and minibar items.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, bathtubs, and sinks.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, and meeting rooms.
- Report any maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and concerns.
- Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment according to safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with other housekeeping team members to ensure efficient room turnover.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages to supervisors.
- Adhere to established cleaning procedures and quality standards.
- Respect guest privacy and handle lost and found items according to hotel policy.
- Assist in deep cleaning projects and seasonal maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in housekeeping or a comparable role is highly desirable, though not mandatory.
