Job summary
A prominent engineering firm is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their site team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves monitoring electrical works, reviewing technical submittals, and supervising MEP activities. Candidates should have at least 10 years of construction experience and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, along with strong technical and communication skills. This position offers an opportunity to be part of a significant construction supervision project.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years total experience in Construction.
- Excellent knowledge of applicable Electrical design and construction codes.
- Ability to review and comment properly on necessary documentation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the Electrical scope of works for contract conformance.
- Review and process all Electrical technical submittals.
- Coordinate and supervise MEP activities and operations.

Stantec is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic site team and support on a construction supervision project in Abu Dhabi.
- Monitoring the Electrical scope of works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
- Reviewing approving and processing all Electrical technical submittals.
- Answering RFIs related to the Electrical scope of work.
- Coordinating and supervising the work of all MEP activities and operations.
- Reviewing contractors Electrical change order proposals and preparing recommendations to MEP PM.
- Liaison with the necessary sub consultants.
- Reviewing contractors claims related to Electrical works and preparing recommendations for claims.
- Reviewing the contractors project record documents relevant to their discipline.
- Managing the Electrical Inspectors.
- Analyzing laboratory and testing reports.
- Assisting with the inspection of completed works and monitoring the start-up testing commissioning and handover of the Electrical works.
- Signing off on completed Electrical works with completed documentation.
- Perform all other duties given by MEP PM.
- Minimum of Fifteen (10) years total experience in Construction
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong technical background.
- Excellent knowledge of Electrical systems products and materials.
- Excellent knowledge of applicable Electrical design and construction codes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office business solutions (Excel Word).
- Ability to review and comment properly on necessary documentation.
- Excellent understanding of specifications and Authority requirements.
- Complete project understanding in a given discipline from start to handover.
