Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Site Engineer to manage and supervise MEP works at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for executing electrical and mechanical installations in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and safety standards, while coordinating with consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Site Execution & Supervision
- Supervise and execute electrical and mechanical works (HV/LV systems, lighting, power, HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, ELV, etc.) on site.
- Ensure installations comply with approved shop drawings, specifications, and local authority regulations.
- Monitor daily site activities and report progress to the Project Engineer/Project Manager.
Coordination & Planning
- Coordinate with civil, architectural, and other MEP trades to avoid clashes and ensure smooth project execution.
- Liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers for technical clarifications and approvals.
- Plan manpower, materials, and equipment in line with the project schedule.
Quality Control & Inspection
- Conduct inspections and ensure works meet quality standards and project requirements.
- Prepare and submit inspection requests (IRs) and attend site inspections with consultants/clients.
- Identify and rectify site issues, snags, and non-conformities.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain site records, daily progress reports, and material tracking.
- Assist in preparation of as-built drawings, method statements, and technical submittals.
- Ensure proper documentation for testing, commissioning, and handover.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and site safety procedures.
- Promote safe work practices and report unsafe conditions immediately.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3–7 years of experience in MEP projects (residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure).
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, drawings, specifications, and construction methods.
- Familiar with local authority codes and standards (as applicable).
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and under project deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in testing & commissioning of MEP systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and basic MS Office.
- UAE/GCC experience (if applicable).
