Job Title: Civil Site Engineer Company: North Ocean Contracting LLC a leading construction and contracting company based in Dubai, specializing in residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates Reporting To: Project Manager / Senior Site Engineer Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Site Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing daily on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards in compliance with all relevant Dubai regulations and project specifications. Key Responsibilities: Site Supervision & Management: • Supervise and manage all on-site civil engineering activities, including earthworks, concrete works, structural works, finishing, and infrastructure. • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract documents, and local authority requirements (e.g., Dubai Municipality, DEWA, RTA, DDA, Trakhees). • Effectively manage site labor, subcontractors, plant, and materials. • Oversee setting out, leveling, and surveying of the site. Quality Control & Assurance: • Implement and monitor strict quality control procedures to ensure works meet the required standards. • Conduct regular site inspections and identify any defects or non-conformities, implementing corrective actions. • Coordinate with consultants and third-party inspectors for quality checks and approvals. • Ensure materials delivered to site meet specifications and are stored correctly. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): • Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental standards on site in compliance with Dubai Municipality, JAFZA/Trakhees (if applicable), and other relevant authority regulations. • Conduct regular safety briefings (toolbox talks) and ensure all personnel adhere to HSE policies. • Identify potential hazards and implement risk mitigation measures. • Ensure proper use of PPE by all site personnel. Project Planning & Progress Monitoring: • Assist the Project Manager in developing and updating the project schedule. • Monitor project progress against the schedule, identify potential delays, and propose corrective actions. • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and resource utilization. • Coordinate with the planning department for resource allocation and look-ahead plans. Technical Support & Problem Solving: • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents. • Resolve any technical issues, discrepancies, or site problems promptly and effectively. • Liaise with design consultants to clarify technical queries. Coordination & Communication: • Liaise and coordinate effectively with the Project Manager, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, foremen, and the on-site workforce. • Attend site meetings and provide technical input. • Maintain clear and accurate site records, including daily logs, work permits, inspection reports, and material approvals. Cost Control: • Assist in monitoring site expenditure and ensuring works are carried out within budget. • Verify quantity take-offs and subcontractor payment applications. • Optimize resource utilization to minimize wastage. Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. • Minimum of [3-5] years of proven experience as a Civil Site Engineer on building construction projects (e.g., residential, commercial, high-rise, villas, industrial) in Dubai/UAE. • Essential: Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality (DM) regulations, DEWA, RTA, and other relevant local authority standards and approval processes. • Valid UAE Driving License is highly preferred. Working Conditions: • Primarily site-based, requiring work in outdoor conditions. • May require extended hours and work on weekends/holidays as per project demands.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ). • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and project management principles. • Experience with relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project; Primavera P6 is a plus). • Excellent site supervision and workforce management skills. • Thorough knowledge of quality control, HSE procedures, and risk assessment. • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities. • Effective communication (written and verbal in English; Arabic is a plus) and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Proactive, organized, and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
