A JOB OPPORTUNITY AT

Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) – Civil (OHL), where you will play a vital role in the delivery and technical supervision of civil works for overhead transmission lines (OHL) and substations (66 / 132 / 220 / 400 kV). This is your opportunity to contribute to critical power infrastructure projects from design review through to construction, commissioning, and handover.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support or serve as the on-site ARE for civil works on EPC and owner-led OHL / substation projects.
  • Supervise and inspect civil construction activities, including earthworks, tower foundations, access roads, cable trenches, drainage, and related structures.
  • Review and coordinate civil drawings, IFC / shop drawings, and technical documents with design, geotechnical, and electrical teams.
  • Monitor contractor performance, enforce quality control, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Administer site documentation : RFIs, NCRs, site instructions, progress reports, as-built records, and daily logs.
  • Liaise with surveyors, geotechnical consultants, and material suppliers; support acceptance of construction methodologies and materials.
  • Assist in cost control, progress claims evaluation, and project scheduling.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, lessons learned, and value engineering initiatives.
A BACKGROUND THAT CONVINCES US
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent; progress toward chartered status is an advantage.
  • 7+ years’ experience in civil engineering for overhead transmission line or substation projects (ARE level).
  • Strong technical expertise in foundations, reinforced concrete, earthworks, drainage, and geotechnical investigations.
  • Familiarity with power sector standards, codes, and regulations (IEC, IEEE, and local standards).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, structural detailing, and MS Office; experience with civil design software (Revit / MicroStation) is a plus.
  • Experience in EPC contract environments, site supervision, QA / QC, and HSE management.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and team collaboration skills.
