Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Oversight

• Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of accountants.
• Review and approve team members’ work to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide training and guidance to enhance the team’s skills and efficiency.

2. Financial Reporting & Management Reports

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Generate management reports covering income, expenses, variances.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure completeness of transactions.
• Provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

3. Audit & Compliance

• Coordinate with external auditors, ensuring timely submission of all required documents.
• Conducthalf-yearly internal auditsto monitor internal controls and compliance.
• Ensure financial practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

4. Financial Analysis & Forecasting

• Conduct variance analysis and evaluate financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Perform financial forecasting and cash flow projections for management decision support.
• Analyze trends and recommend strategies for optimization.

5. Cash Flow & Loan Management

• Forecast cash requirements and ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
• Monitor and control cash inflows and outflows, including contractor/consultant invoices.
• Ensure timely loan repayments and minimize interest costs.
• Provide regular cash flow reports to management.

6. Property & Real Estate Financial Management

• Oversee rent collection, returned cheque management, and property-related reporting.
• Track property performance, profitability, and return on investment.
• Manage budgets for property expenses, taxes, and insurance compliance.

7. Insurance & Risk Management

• Administer property insurance contracts and renewals.
• Analyze coverage options and negotiate cost-effective deals.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks related to loans, operations, and properties.

8. Consultant & Contractor Communication

• Verify and approve invoices from contractors and consultants.
• Monitor project budgets to avoid cost overruns.
• Provide clear financial updates and resolve disputes as needed.

Qualifications

• Certified ACCA preferred
• Minimum 7–10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role in Dubai
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, auditing standards, and local tax laws.
• Proven experience in preparing management reports and handling external audits.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
