The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the travel industry. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented General Accountant to join a well-established company in Al Ain . The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support management in maintaining a strong financial control environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle general accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Prepare financial statements, management reports, and budget analyses.
  • Monitor company expenses and assist in preparing VAT returns and other statutory reports.
  • Verify and reconcile supplier invoices, particularly related to travel bookings and services.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate accounting records.
  • Support annual audits by providing required schedules and documentation.
  • Maintain proper filing and record keeping of all financial transactions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the travel or service industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and UAE VAT regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with travel booking systems and supplier reconciliation processes.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
