A higher education institution in the UAE seeks a Health Sciences Laboratory Assistant to support faculty and students in maintaining laboratories and workshops. The role involves setting up experiments and ensuring proper documentation and supplies are maintained. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree with relevant experience, preferably in a health science laboratory, along with desirable qualifications like First Aid certification. This position offers a hands-on experience working closely with faculty and students.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a health science laboratory.
- Preference for industrial experience in a relevant health science laboratory.
- Membership to a relevant professional association is desirable.
- Training certificates or diplomas in health sciences laboratory practices is desirable.
- First Aid qualification is desirable.

- Support faculty and students by maintaining the laboratory and workshop facilities.
- Set up laboratories in preparation for experiments.
- Maintain supplies and documentation.
Education
Position Summary
The Health Sciences Laboratory Assistant supports faculty and students within one or more Health Sciences program areas by maintaining the College's laboratories and workshops installation, demonstration, and trouble‑shooting of equipment and facilities. This is a hands‑on role in which the incumbent works closely with faculty and students in laboratories and simulation labs. The Laboratory Assistant sets up the lab in preparation for experiments, and maintains supplies and documentation.
- Minimum of a Bachelor Degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates with industrial experience, in a relevant health science laboratory.
- Membership to a relevant professional association is desirable.
