You will champion new business opportunities and nurture existing relationships within the translation and localisation industry. Working at the heart of a supportive, innovative global team, you will connect clients with tailored solutions that address complex language and cultural challenges in today’s dynamic markets.
Identify, target, and develop relationships with prospective clients seeking translation and localisation services across Africa and international markets.
Generate sales leads through research, networking, cold calling, and attending relevant industry events and conferences.
Manage the full sales cycle from initial prospect engagement to closing deals and overseeing successful client onboarding.
Collaborate closely with internal project managers, linguists, and support teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with client needs.
Prepare tailored proposals, deliver persuasive presentations, and negotiate competitive pricing and service agreements.
Maintain accurate pipelines and timely reporting through our CRM and business development platforms.
Keep current with translation technology trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive developments in the language services sector.
Promote our brand at local and international industry events, online forums, and in client meetings, contributing to our position as a top-tier translation service provider.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Languages, International Relations, or related field.
Proven track record (2+ years) in B2B sales, business development, or account management, ideally within the translation, localisation, or broader language service industries.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; confidence in presenting and networking with a diverse, global client base.
Strong analytical, organisational, and time management abilities, with the drive to meet and exceed ambitious targets.
Understanding of translation and localisation workflows, market trends, and technologies is highly advantageous.
Fluency in English is essential; additional South African or international language skills are a significant asset.
