Senior Telecom Program Manager — Hybrid (Johannesburg)
Job summary
A telecommunications company based in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and oversee projects supporting the consumer prepaid business. The ideal candidate will manage a range of responsibilities, including developing the programme roadmap, handling financials, and ensuring compliance. Candidates should possess over 12 years in project management, with significant telecom experience. Agile experience is preferred, and the role offers a hybrid work model.
Qualifications
- 12 years in project/program management, including at least 4 years in program management.
- Previous telecom experience is required.
- Understanding of core telecoms systems such as prepaid billing systems, CRM, and network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute programme roadmap supporting the business strategy.
- Identify, document and manage programme risks and issues.
- Prepare and deliver programme communication plans and progress update reports.
- Manage programme financials and benefits tracking.
- Facilitate steering committee meetings and maintain governance documentation.
