Our client is seeking three proactive Health and Safety Officers for an 18-month contract working on a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) initiative tied to one of South Africa's major energy utilities.
- 18-month contract starting October
- Work on a pioneering battery energy storage project
- Be based on-site at one of three project locations (all within close proximity)
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations during construction phases
- Opportunity to contribute to South Africa's transition to more sustainable energy infrastructure
- Degree in a construction-related field
- 5 years on-site experience in the construction industry
- Completed health and safety training / certification
- Experience on large-scale projects such as power stations, solar farms, mining operations or water utilities
- Familiarity with battery or energy storage systems is highly advantageous
- Candidates currently employed under private contracts with a major utility will be considered; direct employees of the utility are not eligible
