• Lead and manage all commercial aspects of civil and mining projects, ensuring profitability and risk mitigation.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, tender documentation, bills of quantities, and project budgets.
• Monitor project costs, valuations, variations, and final accounts to ensure alignment with contractual obligations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Conduct contract administration, including reviewing agreements, claims, and disputes.
• Provide commercial advice and strategic input to project and executive teams.
• Implement cost control systems and report regularly on project financial performance.
• Mentor and guide junior QS and commercial staff to build team capability.
• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Proven track record in commercial management, cost control, and contract administration.
• Strong knowledge of South African construction contracts (FIDIC, NEC, JBCC, GCC) and legal frameworks.
