Our FMCG client in Fourways, Sandton, Johannesburg, is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist with 8 years solid experience.

You will be responsible for managing and optimizing the supply chain processes to ensure the efficient flow of goods and services from suppliers to customers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8 years plus years of experience in supply chain management or a related field.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and technologies.
• Proficiency in supply chain software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, inventory management software).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of South African supply chain regulations and standards is a plus.

• Supply Chain Management – Oversee and manage the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
• Data Analysis – Analyse supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Supplier Management – Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability.
• Inventory Control – Monitor inventory levels, implement inventory management strategies, and ensure optimal stock levels to meet customer demand without overstocking.
• Logistics Coordination – Collaborate with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods, including managing shipping schedules and routes.
• Compliance and Risk Management – Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and assess risks within the supply chain to develop mitigation strategies.
