Position Overview
We are hiring for a new position of Director of Marketing D2C e-commerce reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, Photofinishing.
This position will lead the marketing efforts to drive awareness of and revenue for Fujifilm's D2C ecommerce platform.
The Director of Marketing (D2C e-commerce) will manage a team of approximately 10 people (3-4 direct reports, the remainder indirect) and work closely with cross-functional team members to ensure successful strategy building and execution of all campaigns. We are looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial, pragmatic leader, capable of delivering results in a traditional corporate environment, who understands the basic principles of content, site merchandising, site optimization, catalog creation & production, product strategy, direct and digital acquisition, and retention marketing.
Job Responsibilities
- Hire and manage approximately 10 marketing staff members dedicated to Fujifilm's D2C e-commerce business.
- Own top-line sales P&L responsibility for the ecommerce business.
- Develop ecommerce and digital marketing strategies, plans, and programs to drive business growth, including merchandising, marketing, and creative strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
- Oversee the customer experience for the website, including optimization, site merchandising, promotions, and third-party marketing.
- Align marketing efforts with overall business objectives, defining, tracking, and optimizing KPIs.
- Manage marketing budget, allocate resources effectively, and measure ROI of initiatives.
- Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies and execution plans, both annually and for up to 5 years.
- Lead strategic planning sessions with global, internal, and external stakeholders.
- Partner with research teams to analyze the competitive landscape and identify trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with Digital Marketing, MarTech, and Merchandising teams for campaign execution.
- Work with software and MarTech teams to improve ecommerce features supporting marketing initiatives.
- Identify and address marketing issues, provide insights, and recommend actions.
- Build and maintain a strong brand identity within the retail photo space.
- Oversee product marketing, managing product assortment, launches, promotions, and pricing strategies.
- Ensure consistent messaging across all channels and materials.
- Strategize product selections and drive online product profitability.
- Collaborate with ecommerce teams on sales trends, product performance, and upcoming campaigns.
- Manage vendors and agencies, including budgets, RFPs, contracts, and performance.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Build and develop the marketing team through recruiting, training, mentoring, and performance management.
Required Skills / Education
- Bachelor's degree or certification in marketing, design, or related fields; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years in a fast-paced, competitive marketing environment in a managerial role.
- 3+ years experience in purchasing, buying, or merchandising, preferably in ecommerce.
- Proven track record in senior D2C ecommerce marketing roles.
- Experience managing teams of 7+ members.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and online merchandising skills.
- Experience with SEO/SEM, digital campaigns, analytics, and user funnel optimization.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present to senior leadership.
- Proficiency in project management, budgeting, and creative collaboration.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with photo or personalized products in retail.
- Knowledge of Digital Asset Management and PIM systems.
- Experience with MarTech tools and digital marketing platforms.
