Job summary
A dynamic investment group in Sandton is seeking a Financial Accountant (Head of Finance) to oversee accounting and compliance across multiple entities. The role requires strong experience in VAT, management accounts, and AFS preparation, alongside excellent analytical skills. This hands-on position offers the opportunity to support special projects and ensure financial independence. A BCom Accounting degree and relevant experience are essential. The firm values strong communication and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 3–6 years’ accounting experience across multiple entities.
- Familiar with CIPC and SARS eFiling.
- Understanding of IFRS for SMEs and South African compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records for all entities.
- Prepare and submit VAT201 returns via SARS eFiling.
- Draft Annual Financial Statements in line with IFRS for SMEs.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with forecasting.
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls.
