Job summary

A leading cash management service provider in South Africa is seeking a candidate for a cash centre role focused on processing deposits and cash handling. Responsibilities include treasury balancing, handling multiple cash-related tasks, and engaging with clients. Ideal candidates should have a clear criminal record, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and strong communication skills. Applicants who can work under pressure and possess numeric skills are preferred. This role may require night shifts and overtime work.

Qualifications

  • Clear criminal record.
  • Computer literate.
  • At least 2 years’ cash centre experience or similar role.
  • Treasury experience in balancing is an advantage.
  • Must be able to work at night.
  • Able to address and resolve challenges accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • Collect bulk cash from and return to vaults.
  • Perform treasury balancing and float checks.
  • Submit daily stock reports and conduct monthly stock orders.
  • Sort fit and unfit notes daily and pack ATMs.
  • Address client queries and perform general administration duties.

Reporting to the Counting House Manager

The above position is vacant at our Hermanstad Branch. The overall purpose of this position is to ensure that all deposits have been processed as per contractual agreement between the parties.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Clear criminal record
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Computer literate
  • At least 2 years’ cash centre experience or similar role
  • Treasury experience in balancing is an advantage
  • Clear disciplinary record
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Must be able to work at night
  • Must be able to address and resolve challenges accordingly
Key Performance Areas (not totally inclusive):
  • Collect bulk cash from and return to vaults
  • Treasury balancing
  • Float checks
  • Daily stock submissions
  • Monthly stock orders
  • Daily operations meetings
  • Daily sorting of fit and unfit notes
  • Packing of ATM’s
  • Dealing with client queries
  • General administration duties
