Job Title: Registered Nurse / Clinical Technologist (Independent Practice) - NRC Umhlanga (Durban)

• Relevant qualification within a specialist area or equivalent NQF 7.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse / Midwife or with HPCSA as a Clinical Technologist (Independent Practice).
• Experience in renal nursing is strongly recommended.
• Capacity to implement and maintain health practice standards required by accredited bodies and applicable health legislation.
• Ability to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.

• Perform dialysis according to prescription safely, following NRC’s internal policies and procedures.
• Provide optimal patient care within the nursing scope of practice and NRC’s clinical care pathways.
• Manage and maintain all medical equipment per NRC’s technical policies and procedures.
• Utilize all NRC quality initiative programs for patients under your care.
• Maintain and update all patient clinical records according to deadlines, policies, procedures, and NRC standards.
• Follow all financial policies and procedures in the unit, including confirmation, billing, private patients, stock, waste, etc.
• Lead shift operations and supervise all subcategories on the floor daily.
• Demonstrate the National Renal Care Values and Caring the NRC Way.
