A regional healthcare facility is looking for a CSSD Technician in Oudtshoorn, South Africa. Responsibilities include providing sterilized instrument sets for the operating theatre, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining equipment. Candidates must have Grade 12 and a CSSD CPD course is desirable. This is a full-time role on-site.

- No specific experience required, but 2 years as a CSSD Technician preferred.

To provide adequate functional and sterilized instrument sets and packs to the operating theatre and other nursing units in the hospital.
Ensure patient safety by providing adequate sterile and functional equipment on time.
Ensure optimal care and maintenance of capital equipment to minimize clinical and financial risks.
Ensure cost-effective use of pharmaceutical stock to meet the daily requirements of the operating theatre and other nursing units.
Ensure Infection Prevention and Control standards are met according to policies and procedures.
Adhere to standardised workflow processes in order to minimise risks.
Essential Education : Grade 12
Desired Education : CSSD CPD course
Essential Minimum Experience : None
Desired Experience : 2 years experience as CSSD Technician
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Stock control processes
- Knowledge of personal and environmental hygiene
- Knowledge of IPC protocols and principles
- Knowledge of the CSSD basic functions
