Overview

Position: 2nd Electrician

As a 2nd Electrician, you will be responsible for assisting the Chief Electrician in maintaining and repairing all electrical equipment and systems on board our vessel. This includes but is not limited to generators, motors, lighting, communication systems, and navigation equipment. You will work closely with other members of the engineering team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chief Electrician in maintaining and repairing all electrical equipment and systems on board the vessel
  • Monitor and troubleshoot electrical systems to identify and resolve any issues
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electrical equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
  • Assist in the installation of new electrical systems and equipment
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to ensure the smooth operation of all systems on board
  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in electrical technology
  • Train and mentor junior electricians as needed
