United Herzlia Schools is a highly successful, independent, community Jewish Day School in Cape Town.

This person will work across Alon Ashel Pre-Primary (Sea Point) and Gan Aviv Pre-Primary (Gardens) in a part-time role (3 mornings per week).

This role combines the joy of music with the richness of Jewish tradition, inspiring children to connect with their heritage through song, movement, and creative expression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach engaging music and enrichment sessions that bring Jewish values, holidays and traditions to life.
• Design and deliver age-appropriate programmes that nurture curiosity, joy and spiritual connection.
• Lead singing, rhythm and movement activities that encourage active participation and self-expression.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate Jewish learning and music into the wider curriculum.
• Foster a warm, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
• Contribute to school-wide Jewish celebrations, ceremonies, and events.
• Background in music education, Jewish studies, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Jewish traditions, holidays, and values.
• Experience working with young children in an educational or community setting.
• Ability to play a musical instrument (an advantage).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for Jewish life and learning.
