Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ Warehouse in Gqeberha DC has an opportunity available for DC Returns Clerks to join the team. The main purpose of this role will be to perform clerical functions in the returns area, in order to meet both legal and customer requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Grade 12 Matric or Senior Certificate with English and Mathematics
- Minimum 2 year experience in a similar role
Responsibilities (Job Specification)
- Sign for goods received on the document provided
- Ensure that returned stock, damages, expired and rejected stock, is dealt with as per SOPs
- Ensure that all administration is accurate and up to date
- Ensure that all distribution documents are collected and filed
- Verify and check deliveries against inbound delivery and invoices to ensure total accuracy
- Ensure goods delivered are in fact the goods ordered as per the company purchase order, for which the company has been invoiced
- Despatch all returns that are to be uplifted by a supplier on presentation of a pick-up slip in accordance with company policy and standard operating procedures
- Ensure the flow of stock receipts through receiving is maintained, deliveries arriving are receipted within 48 hours and packed away onto the racking
- Process all returns to suppliers in compliance with company standard operating procedures
- Ensure that all physical controls over the goods receiving area are in place and operating in accordance with company policy and standard operating procedures
- Ensure no unauthorised access is granted to the warehouse
- Manage and control high risk / sensitive stock, temperature sensitive and high value stock
- Take responsibility for your immediate surroundings and prevent any possible losses
- Be security conscious at all times and avoid committing theft or fraud
Competencies
- Sound knowledge of clerical duties in the returns area
- Finds solutions to potential issues as well as knowing when to escalate the problem and what level to escalate it to
- Conveys ideas and facts verbally using language
- Addresses customer questions in a timely manner
- Recognises the need for procedures and follows relevant procedures
- Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
