What the role is about:

As a Senior Policy Advisor, you’ll lead technical committees, engage with key industry stakeholders and ensure our members are aligned with emerging legislation, regulation and best practice. This is a high-impact role suited to someone with deep financial sector experience and a passion for policy and governance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate activities of investment-related technical committees
  • Facilitate responses to regulatory and legislative developments
  • Act as a subject matter resource across committees and external forums
  • Document and manage committee activities, inputs, and communications
  • Engage with regulators, market infrastructures and government departments
  • Support the development and maintenance of the company’s standards and guidelines
  • Monitor industry developments and contribute to media, events, and advocacy
  • Provide regular insights, reports and updates to members and internal teams
What they’re looking for:
  • A relevant business degree (professional body membership advantageous)
  • At least 10 years’ experience in financial services, ideally in investments
  • Strong knowledge of savings and investment legislation and regulation
  • Excellent facilitation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to interpret policy shifts and their impact on industry operations
  • Organised, analytical, and confident in high-level forums
