A leading conservation technology company is seeking a Systems Architect in Johannesburg. This role involves designing and improving a hybrid-hosted ecosystem, ensuring reliable integrations and overseeing a redesign of the system architecture. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Systems Architect to take a lead role designing a brand-new System of Systems Architecture for the world’s largest biodiversity & conservation company.
This Systems Architect role is Johannesburg-based with a CTC of R800K per annum.
This company is the technological backbone behind some of the largest conservation parks in the world. Partnering with governments, they focus on long-term biodiversity conservation by integrating the most advanced machine learning & advanced analytics algorithms available into parks under their management.
From deploying AI-driven conservation tools to managing infrastructure and streamlining data systems, their work enables data-driven decision-making and more effective protection of wildlife & natural resources by harnessing the power of technology to create generational change.
As Systems Architect, you will lead the design, integration, deployment, and continuous improvement of the company’s hybrid-hosted ecosystem. Given the environmental challenges and offline nature of many systems, your focus will be on ensuring efficient, reliable integrations that support operational needs.
Working closely with business, technical, and park stakeholders, you’ll oversee a complete redesign of the company’s system-of-systems architecture - driving data consistency and secure, scalable performance across both connected and offline environments.
