Job summary

A technology solutions provider in South Africa is seeking an experienced professional to own strategic accounts and high-value opportunities. The successful candidate will focus on driving revenue growth through cross-sell/upsell, manage pipelines, and mentor junior team members. A degree in Sales/Marketing or Business Management along with 5+ years’ experience in ICT sales is required. Strong negotiation skills and advanced proficiency in CRM systems are also essential for this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead sales pursuits; ensure eligibility packs and compliance.
  • Coach Junior BDMs on opportunity creation and CRM hygiene.
  • Enforce in-house CRM standards and report on KPIs.

Purpose

Own strategic accounts and high-value opportunities to deliver revenue growth through cross-sell/upsell, IT Services/Panels and complex solution sales. Drive pipeline coverage to meet or exceed the 3x benchmark and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Account Management: Expand footprint in existing accounts by identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities. Build multi-offer proposals and manage executive-level relationships.
  • Pipeline Ownership: Maintain weighted pipeline coverage ≥3x quarterly target. Drive late-stage progression and conversion to wins.
  • Opportunity Leadership: Lead sales pursuits; ensure eligibility packs and compliance. Collaborate internally on strategic opportunities.
  • Mentorship: Coach Junior BDMs on opportunity creation, meeting discipline and CRM hygiene.
  • Governance & Reporting: Enforce in-house CRM standards. Report on KPIs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Matric Certificate required.
  • Degree in Sales/Marketing or Business Management (preferred).
  • 5+ years’ experience in ICT sales with proven track record in solution selling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
  • Strong understanding of ICT sales strategy, including Microsoft, Cloud and Networks.
