Introduction

CLIENT in the MINING INDUSTRY requires the services of a MANAGER PROTECTION SERVICES as soon as possible in the GAUTENG AREA. CV'S TO BE SUBMITTED IN A WORD FORMAT TOGETHER WITH QUALIFICATIONS, ID, DRIVER'S LICENSE AND LATEST PAYSLIP

Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsure the standardisation and maintain a uniform approach and application of investigative principles across the Group. Consolidate investigative outcomes into strengthening Group control environments by way of policy directives, minimum security standards, standard operating procedures, risk mitigation initiatives, etc. Develop and maintain active relationships with law enforcement agencies, prosecuting agencies, and private entities towards addressing syndicated criminal activities. Effectively manage and lead the Syndicated Metals Theft Units. Support the office of the EVP and Group Head Protection Services in the execution of Group related functions (responsible sourcing, anti-money laundering, ESG initiatives).

Manage and maintain the Group's anonymous reporting platforms, including the directing of TOA related cases for investigation and completion within the Group's operating segments. Oversee and control quality over client reports, including close out reports, COO reports, and Board committee reports. Oversee and provide diligence over informer registration, administration, and rewards. Oversee and control Public Private Partnership's projects on behalf of Company Administer the Group TOA platform.

Desired Experience & Qualification

NQF 7 (Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma) in Policing or Security Management. Have a minimum of 15 years' experience in General, Priority and Commercial investigations of which 8 years should have been at management level. Have the ability to manage a General, Project and Commercial investigation unit; and the ability to manage investigations with a project centric approach including key stakeholders. Have the ability to manage a large investigations unit and a sizable case load.

Experience in working with external stakeholders involved up until the prosecution phase. Key expectations from a new Head of Investigations: Able to lead change management Strategic thinker – someone who is comfortable to reshape the team to increase effectiveness and impact from the investigations. Someone who has worked with an electronic investigative tool (like casebook) and who manages his team with strict KPIs. Can differentiate on cases between the extent / depth that we need to investigate. Responsible for inventory management and reasonable turnaround times on investigations.
