Maintenance Coordinator / Planner (Automotive FOUNDRY Industry)

Location: Isando

Minimum Requirements
  • Matric and a Technical qualification.
  • 23 years relevant maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance, repairs, and method improvements.
  • Fault-finding / problem-solving ability using engineering principles.
  • Effective communication, initiative, and self-discipline.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement techniques.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate artisans work, rosters, and maintenance administration.
  • Identify and arrange repairs (mechanical / electrical) including spares management.
  • Analyze breakdowns, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure spare parts availability and effective stock control.
  • Assist during breakdowns and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Enforce compliance with OHS Act, safety, and housekeeping standards.
  • Drive effective team building, motivation, and discipline within the department.
Authority & Limitations
  • Implement and maintain preventative maintenance systems.
  • Apply disciplinary code of conduct.
  • Operate within budgetary parameters.
