Job description

This position will drive the fragrance division's goals, strategy, and market/business plans to achieve the company's objectives through generating fragrance sales in South Africa. The role also involves providing consistent commercial communication and general administrative support for the fragrance consumer goods segment in South Africa.

SCOPE:
  • Manage the South African market in terms of benchmarked targets, including market share and profit improvement.
  • Generate fragrance sales according to the sales budget.
  • Set and manage yearly sales targets by customer, comparing actuals against targets and budgets.
  • Identify, develop, and grow new business opportunities.
  • Develop marketing strategies for new opportunities.
  • Negotiate pricing.
  • Develop and manage sales and cost budgets.
  • Determine and set credit policies aligned with company policies.
  • Manage the yearly travel budget and monitor actual vs. budget.
  • Update budgets and forecasts for South African sales.
  • Oversee expenses and payment requests.
  • Support outstanding debt management with the Finance team.
  • Utilize tools like Power BI, GPMS, and manage budgets, order checks, visit reports, and innovation strategies.
  • Strategically develop and manage the South African market, identifying research opportunities to assess potential markets, channels, and customers.
CUSTOMER CENTRICITY:
  • Develop and drive the company's fragrance division to meet its goals and strategies.
  • Follow up on client requests, including pricing, projects, and deliveries.
  • Manage and drive win rates and key projects.
  • Manage client presentations, project administration, and customer correspondence.
  • Enter project data into GPMS, follow up on project status, and assist in creating marketing content.
  • Create win documents, quotes, and manage pricing strategies.
  • Forecast and provide project feedback.
  • Maintain information on GPMS related to certifications, safety data sheets, and supplier questionnaires.
PEOPLE:
  • Align with a performance-driven culture through performance and talent management.
  • Participate in development planning and adhere to the company's ethics and value system.
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Follow the Code of Ethics and promote ethical business practices.
  • Participate in wellness and CSR activities, and support energy conservation initiatives.
  • Support SHEQ and OHS initiatives across the group.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • Tertiary education (BSc or BCom Degree).
  • At least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Knowledge of FMCG and fragrance industry segments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
  • Strong presentation skills and financial acumen.
  • Proven sales track record, with experience in account management and market penetration.
