Job description

Our Johannesburg branch based in Kempton Park is looking for an experienced Junior POD Clerk.

Job function
  • Collect PODs from the Warehouse
  • Make sure all PODs are accounted for according to the trip sheet handed over by the sub-courier or RSU staff
  • Follow up with the relevant party if a POD is missing
  • Debrief PODs
  • Split PODs
  • Sort PODs
  • Scan PODs
  • Match all supporting documents to the RSU waybill, ensuring they match what is written on it
  • Contact driver, sub-courier and client liaison to retrieve documentation if a shortage exists
  • Separate all paperwork, clean up all sides of waybills and attach a paperclip to multiple pages
  • Hand over all PODs
  • Scan all single pages and verify the scanned waybill number is correct
  • When scanning multiple pages, ensure all supporting documents are scanned together with the main RSU waybill
  • If a cross-reference exists on the waybill, save both the original waybill number and the cross-reference number into the Master POD file
  • Update the RSU system (check POD scanned)
  • Keep all PODs scanned and updated on a daily basis
