Computer Applications Technology and Computer Literacy Teacher

Computer Applications Technology and Computer Literacy Teacher

Grade 8 - 12

1 January 2026

This is a full-time position and the successful candidate will report to the Headmistress of Academics.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshoot the IT infrastructure, aid in desktop support when needed
  • Be willing to be part of the extra-curricular program
  • Be willing to do boarding duties
  • Have the ability to be assertive but flexible and to pay attention to detail
  • Embrace cognitive education and appropriate use of technology in the classroom
  • Be able to understand and be committed to Stanford Lake College’s values and ethos
  • Be self-starter who can manage themselves and work independently
  • Possess a strongly driven work ethic
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills with colleagues, students and parents
  • Have good organisational and administrative skills
  • Have an open and creative outlook to education

An advantage (but not a requirement):

  • Helping manage school social media platforms and creating marketing content
  • Assisting with school photography

Requirements:

  • A B.Ed or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Current SACE registration
  • A clean criminal record
  • Has experience in and shows an innovative and progressive approach to teaching Computer Applications Technology fromGrades 10-12, preferably within the IEB syllabus
  • Is competent in presenting an IT skills course to Grade 8 and 9 pupils
  • Has good all-round knowledge of CAT with a passion for the subject
  • A working knowledge of school administration programmes would be advantageous
  • Has experience and confidence in guiding and supporting Grade 12 learners in their PAT
