We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Accountant to join our team in Plettenberg Bay/ Pietermaritzburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering professional accounting and financial services to a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full accounting function for a range of clients (monthly bookkeeping, reconciliations, management accounts).
• Preparation and submission of VAT, PAYE, UIF, and other statutory returns.
• Preparation of annual financial statements (Draftworx experience beneficial).
• Assist with tax planning, income tax returns, and compliance for individuals, companies, and trusts.
• Assist clients with payroll processing and related submissions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional service delivery.

Requirements:

• Relevant accounting qualification (Degree, Diploma, or equivalent).
• SAIPA/SAICA articles completed (advantageous but not essential).
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in an accounting practice environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax legislation, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Draftworx or similar, Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office.
