1. Troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, repairing electrical systems and components onboard ships.
2. Carrying out testing and calibration of gas detectors in workshop.
3. Supervising external contractors when needed.
4. Assist crew and Supt with ordering the correct spares.
5. Provides detailed reports on work completed.
Requirements
· Minimum Higher Nitec / Diploma in Electrical / Mechatronic
· Able to interpret electrical schematic drawings.
· Good knowledge of shipboard electrical systems such as:
· At least 1 years of Marine Service Engineer experience
· Able to work on sudden occasions (weekends, holidays, etc)
· Able to in anchorage and shipyard
· Able to adopt on changing work environment
· Eager to learn and acquire skills for new products, system, tasks.
· High sense of work ethic
· Able to work with multidisciplinary team.
· Able to handle situations in dealing with ship crew
· Proficient with the use business PC or laptop, well familiar with Microsoft Office applications (such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
