A marine engineering company in Singapore is looking for a candidate to manage and execute marine engineering projects, including ship repair and installation of marine systems. The ideal candidate will coordinate with clients and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with safety standards. Candidates should have strong project management skills and technical knowledge of marine engineering. This position provides opportunities to oversee project schedules and manage resource allocation, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to timelines.
Plan, coordinate, and execute marine engineering projects such as ship repair, shipbuilding, offshore structures, and marine equipment installation.
Liaise with ship owners, clients, classification societies, and port authorities to ensure project requirements are met.
Prepare project schedules, work plans, method statements, and technical documentation.
Supervise onboard and yard activities including fabrication, installation, commissioning, and testing of marine systems.
Ensure compliance with marine safety regulations, class rules (ABS, DNV, LR, BV), and international standards.
Monitor project progress, quality, cost control, and timelines; report any deviations to management.
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for materials, manpower, and equipment.
Conduct inspections, attend surveys, and support class/flag state approvals.
Ensure proper implementation of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) procedures at work sites.
Prepare progress reports, technical reports, and project handover documentation.
Support troubleshooting and rectification of technical issues during project execution.
Assist in project budgeting, cost estimation, and variation order management.
