Risk Management jobs in Singapore

Our client is building a market leader digital assets exchange for institutional clients with the backing of strong cutting-edge exchanges firms. In order to lead the risk management function, my client is looking to appoint a Chief Risk Officer – member of the EXCO – who will be responsible for the effective independent oversight of the platform’s risks and implement a risk management framework with appropriate tools for the measurement, reporting, and control of the firm’s financial and non-financial risks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position, you will be responsible for leading the risk management function at the Exchange to:

1. Provide overall leadership, vision, and direction for risk management.
2. Establish an integrated risk management framework for all aspects of risks across the Exchange.
3. Develop risk management policies, including the quantification of the Exchange’s risk appetite through specific risk limits.
4. Implement a set of risk metrics and reports, including losses and incidents, key risk exposures, and early warning indicators.
5. Allocate capital to exposures based on risk, and optimize the Exchange’s risk portfolio through business activities and risk transfer strategies.
6. Improve the firm’s risk management readiness through communication and training programs, performance measurement and incentives, and other change management programs.
7. Develop the analytical, systems, and data management capabilities to support the risk management program.

KEY SKILLS

1. Strong digital assets (Cryptos, Stablecoins, Loans, NFTs) or blockchain environment in a senior risk function.
2. Management track record.
3. Experience in VAR modelling and stress testing.
4. Experience in traditional financial products (FX, equities, Bonds, Derivatives, Commodities).
5. Central Counterparties experience would be an advantage.
