The Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the operational aspects of SPD’s enclave projects under the Supported Employment Programme. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders, including trainees, employers, and the supported employment team, to ensure the smooth execution of training and job placement activities which lead to meaningful employment and independence.

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of relevant qualifications, experience, and skillsets to effectively oversee the operational aspects of vocational training and job placement for people with disabilities.

• Identify challenges faced by trainees and communicate them to relevant stakeholders for resolution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to provide recommendations that improve trainees’ performance and address issues during training.
• Track trainee attendance to ensure compliance with programme requirements.
• Conduct monthly goal setting and performance evaluation of trainees to assess progress and identify areas for improvement. Provide regular updates on trainees’ progress during meetings with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with trainees’ reporting officers/supervisors at the worksite to address performance or job duty matters. Promptly report incidents or issues at the worksite for resolution.
• Attend meetings as required by the programme to provide updates on trainee progress and operational matters.
• Adapt to worksite operating hours to oversee trainees’ activities and provide necessary support.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by the supervisor to support the overall success of supported employment projects.

• Minimum Diploma qualification, preferably with at least 2 years of experience in operations or a related field.
• Prior experience in hospitality, food and beverage, logistics, job coaching, or working with people with disabilities is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve workplace issues with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent observation skills to monitor trainee progress and identify improvement areas.
• Proficient in computer use and adept at virtual platforms such as Microsoft Teams for communication and collaboration.
• Adaptable to change and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel to worksites as required for on‑site supervision and support.
• Self‑motivated team player able to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders.
• Strong communication and people‑management skills, combined with technical proficiency to support trainees in their work roles.
