Resource management and staff development

• Engage with clinical lead/ nurse manager, doctors and other stakeholders in achieving clinical and financial goals
• Oversight of facility, equipment and inventory maintenance to ensure optimal patient care.
• Handle feedback / complaints and make recommendation for timely and effective service recovery.
• Assist Operation Manager for unit budget and review progress of monthly financial status and resource utilization to ensure cost effectiveness
• Assist Operation Manager for staff recruitment and retention to meet operational demands and desired business outcomes
• Assist Operation Manager to ensure staff compliance with unit policies and standard guidelines.
• Assist Operation Manager with annual staff appraisal, identify staff individual learning needs and implement development plan and training based on developed policies and standard guidelines.

Financial goals and achievement

• Assist Operation Manager with proposal and implementation of business strategies to meet organisational goals
• Assist Operation Manager with proposal and development of processes and protocol to improve staff productivity and engage in cost saving measures
• Assist Operations Manager with annual financial budgeting exercise
• Assist Operations Manager engagement of performance review and relevant operational meetings

Risks and Quality Management

• Assist Operation Manager and participate as a member in Quality assurance committees such as (Blood transfusion committee, Tissue committee, OT committee and Mortality & Morbidity committee etc)
• Assist Operation Manager for investigation of near misses, clinical incidences or undesirable events that occur in the facility. Engage in root cause analysis and to provide recommendations and rectification measures where necessary.
• Ensure in the successful implementation and monitoring of rectification measures
• Assist Operation Manager and participate in Unit audits and accreditation.
• Assist Operation Manager and initiate and facilitate process / clinical improvement activities.
