The engineer plans, directs and coordinates the operations of an organization to meet the service assurance level set by the organization. The scope covers the responsibility for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods, processes and strategies.

The role is responsible for the Service Transitions and Service Operations to maintain and operate systems and platforms in an optimal state of the Mobile VAS, Mobile Finance and Infrastructure services meeting service level KPIs, customer level satisfaction and regulatory requirements. The role is also accountable for service quality and service availability of the services provided. The detailed scope is:

• Involve in technical planning, implementation and delivery for enhancement projects
• Ability to write automation and monitoring scripts in Python, Perl, PHP and Bash languages
• Strong IPv4/IPv6 and Red Hat 7 OS operations and administration
• Perform system and service testing to roll-out/migration of new related products and services. Applications involved are Firewalls/VMs/2FA/NTP/DNS/DHCP Linux Based Operating Systems
• Perform patch loading, configuration changes and implementation of software and hardware updates and upgrades on service nodes

• System and Platform patch loading, implementation of software and hardware upgrades/patching on related service nodes
• Participate in BCP and/or Audit program initiatives
• The successful candidate will need to work outside normal working hours to carry out upgrades and patch loading as such activities may disrupt services
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause failure analysis for software, hardware and network faults related to the service nodes
• Responsible for supporting the daily operation of (DHCP/DNS/NTP/Firewalls/VMware/2FA/Linux OS systems) and NetApp storage systems and Infrastructure
• Provide Tier 2 & 3 technical support for internal customers and manage vendors for Tier 3 & 4 technical support on a 24x7 standby basis

• Engineering degree preferably in Computer Engineering with at least 2 years of experience
• At least 3-5 years working experience with emphasis on Linux, RHEL, DNS, Ansible, Resolve, MySQL DB, NetApp, Fortinet Firewall, VMware, NTP, DNS, DHCP systems
• Good scripting knowledge in Perl/Python/Bash/PHP
• Experience in operation of the following systems: Linux, RHEL, Ansible, Resolve, MySQL DB, NetApp, Fortinet Firewall, VMware, NTP, DNS, DHCP systems
• Red Hat Certified, VCP certified
