Job summary
A healthcare institution in Singapore is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant for its Compounding Hub. The role includes preparing sterile products in a cleanroom, assisting with daily maintenance and monitoring, and performing administrative duties. Candidates should have GCE 'O' Level credits in English and Mathematics or higher, and must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice. Ideal applicants should demonstrate good hand dexterity and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum GCE 'O' Level credits in English and Mathematics.
- Need to pass media fill tests to validate in aseptic compounding.
- Adherence to GMP Standard Operating Procedures is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile products in a cleanroom environment.
- Assist in daily cleanroom maintenance and environmental monitoring.
- Help with administrative duties such as ordering and inventory management.
Skills
Education
The role of a Pharmacy Assistant in SGH Pharmacy Compounding Hub requires the following skills set:
- Able to prepare sterile products (e.g. total parenteral nutrition, eye drops, pre-filled syringes and antibiotic elastomeric pumps) in a cleanroom environment
- Assist in daily cleanroom maintenance and environmental monitoring
- Assist in administrative duties (e.g. submission of agar plates for incubation and reading, ordering and inventory management)
- Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level credits in English and Mathematics/ GCE’A’ Level / Diploma in any discipline
- Personnel would need to undergo and pass media fill tests to be validated in aseptic compounding
- Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Good hand dexterity and personal hygiene
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with high volume of workload without compromising patient safety
