Job Title: Accountant/ Senior Finance & Accounts Executive

As a fast-growing AI startup based in Singapore, we are building a robust finance team to support our growth and ensure sound financial governance. We are looking for an Accountant/ Senior Finance & Accounts Executive with strong fundamentals and a keen eye for detail to join our dynamic team.

You will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance with Singapore accounting standards, and supporting financial reporting and analysis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment, enjoys mentoring junior staff, and is passionate about building robust financial systems from the ground up. You’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strategic financial insight as we scale.

• Oversee daily accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Oversee 3-ways-match checking for AP and AR and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely into financial system.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and assist in quarterly and annual reporting.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Monitor and ensure accuracy and control of the fixed asset register.
• Work together with Procurement/ Logistics on the accuracy of inventory balances.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, SFRS standards and IRAS regulations.
• Maintain local tax returns, including GST submissions on timely basis.
• Assist with preparation of audit and submission of statutory accounts.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Monitor cash flow and support treasury functions.
• Use cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, Dynamics, or similar) for transaction tracking and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support financial planning and analysis.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; preferably CPA/ACCA/relevant professional certifications.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a startup or tech environment.
• Strong understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and GST regulations.
• Willing to hands-on with operational tasks and system/ policy setup.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented with proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
